This week we founded the project and built the complete technical blueprint — defining how the system will be structured, how data flows in, and how every piece of information is validated. All of this groundwork is required before we write production code.

Key Highlights

Formal data definitions created for every system component. 29 structured definitions now describe exactly what information the system accepts, how supplier evidence is recorded, and what output reports look like. This was the single largest deliverable of the week at 5,247 lines.
Full quality audit of all existing specifications completed. A comprehensive 1,328-line audit cataloged every inconsistency between our core design documents, with a clear resolution plan organized into 12 ordered checkpoints that must be cleared before development begins.
Cloud infrastructure plan finalized. We mapped every system component to a specific Cloudflare service, calculated free-tier limits and cost thresholds for scaling, and documented how customer data stays isolated.
Data intake pipeline broken into four clear stages. Customs data capture, data cleanup and classification, logistics verification, and external certification matching are now separately documented and testable.
Security model locked down. Corporate login with multi-factor authentication is mandatory. Each customer organization is fully isolated. AgriPulse never stores passwords.
Crop forecasting data layer designed. Defined how satellite imagery (vegetation health indicators) is processed into yield predictions — the foundation for Goal 2's price-risk and supply forecasting features.

Current Status

We’re in the "blueprint before building" phase. Three core documents define what the product does, how it’s built, and what ships in Version 1. Every technical spec must follow these.
No production code yet — and that’s on purpose. Our quality audit found conflicts between design documents that would cause rework if we coded now. We’re resolving these systematically through 12 ordered checkpoints before writing any production software.
Automated quality checks are already running. A validation script confirms that all our data definitions are correct and consistent — catching errors like missing fields, wrong formats, and invalid data before they ever reach production.

What's Next

Resolve the top-priority specification conflicts. Clear the first five audit checkpoints so we can start issuing implementation tickets to developers.
Add more test scenarios for edge cases. Create test data covering unusual customs records and tricky logistics patterns to make sure the system handles them correctly.
Start experimental data parsing. Build a proof-of-concept that reads real customs spreadsheets, validating that our specifications work against actual data.
Refine supplier matching logic. Test and improve how the system connects customs records to specific suppliers and their certification requirements.
